Teddy Bear Day care provides a sequential learning program
designed by the Executive Director and adapted by licensed
teachers to meet the individual needs of each child. We
offer structured and unstructured creative activities in
small and large groups. All activities are
developmentally-appropriate. The children engage in a
variety of art and craft projects daily. One of our main
goals is to assist children with the development of their
social and verbal skills. Each room is equipped with
learning centers from which the children engage in a
variety of activities.
Hours
of Operation
Teddy
Bear Day Care is open Monday through Friday, twelve months
a year. Our hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00
p.m.
Vacation Weeks
To
promote the importance of family time, Teddy Bear Day Care
generously gives all families one week of tuition free
vacation time per year, once your child has been enrolled
with us for 6 months. Should your child(ren) not be in
attendance, you can use his absence as vacation time.
Parent Referral Policy
Teddy
Bear Day Care wishes to extend our gratitude in the form of
tuition reduction to anyone who refers our program which
results in a family enrolling. Any family who refers a
family to one of our 3 locations will receive a $100.00
tuition credit after the newly enrolled family's 6th
consecutive week with Teddy Bear. Thank you for your
positive referrals and supporting our school!
Optional Enrichment Programs
For
your family's convenience, Teddy Bear Day Care contracts
with reputable companies to provide optional enrichment
programs such as tumbling, music, dance, sports fitness,
ballet and gymnastics. Please consult your Director for a
list of daytime programs currently available at the center.
Children's Personal Belongings
All
children share the materials at Teddy Bear Day Care as part
of the learning process. It is much easier to learn to
share center toys than one's own special treasures. Teddy
Bear Day Care is not responsible for lost or damaged items
and asks that children do not bring toys from home unless
requested for special projects, or on specified "Show and
Share" days, as we have plenty for them to
do.
Birthdays
Teddy
Bear Day Care believes children's birthdays are very
special events, and we welcome the opportunity to help
celebrate. Families are welcome to bring a commercially
prepared treat for the entire classroom. Treats must be in
their original packages with the ingredients listed. This
will enable the classroom teachers to identify ingredients
for children with food allergies and helps us to maintain
compliance with state regulations.
Custody Arrangements
Please
inform the school of any custody and visitation
restrictions and provide the Director with the appropriate
documentation. Teddy Bear Day Care has an "Open Door"
policy for visitation from custodial
parents.
Reporting
of Child Abuse
Each
and every one of us here at Teddy Bear Day Care is legally
mandated to report child abuse or neglect. Teddy Bear Day
Care is required by law to report any suspected incidents
of possible child abuse or neglect.
Babysitting
Should
you choose to engage a Teddy Bear employee to baby-sit for
your family, Teddy Bear Day Care is not responsible for
your child or the actions of the employees outside of the
center.
Privacy Rights Statement
The
enrollment information you provide will be handled
confidentially to protect your privacy. Limited access is
available to employees in order to provide the best care
possible. All information you provide regarding your child
and your family is stored in your child's file located in
the central office. The information is kept strictly
confidential and is accessible only by management.
