Curriculum &

Programs

Our curriculum is based on the basic belief that children should be actively involved in the learning process and that learning experiences are continuous, sensory, and appropriate to each child’s stage of development.

Our curriculum is designed to encourage child-initiated learning activities within a supportive environment regarding intellectual, social, emotional, and physical needs. Children are provided with choices to experiment, discover, and develop skills in learning how to learn and will feel confident in their ability. Learning will become an interesting process; one that continues for a lifetime.

Language Arts

Receptive and expressive language is enhanced through the use of finger play, nursery rhymes, poetry, discussions, stories, and circle time.

Science

Art

Explore color, line and form, and for discover the effects of various media on different surfaces in an open-ended fashion that will allow each child to make a personal statement with art.

Music

The goals of the music experiences are to develop appreciation and responsiveness. The children learn to listen and learn musical concepts such as pitch, volume, and contrasts.

Math

Infant
6 Weeks - 12 Months

Our loving and nurturing teachers respond with child-friendly language, warm smiles, and gentle touches to assure babies they are safe, secure, and special. You will find our teachers singing songs, rocking and cuddling children, reading stories, and enjoying all the wondrous moments of your baby’s day.

Our infant classroom offers an array of bright, stimulating equipment alongside soothing rest areas, which provide a rich environment for babies to safely explore the world around them. Babies alternate between active exploration of play areas and individual feeding and rest times.

All babies eat, sleep, and play on their own unique daily schedule. Our nurturing infant program is designed just for them based on both immediate needs as well as parental requests. The parent-teacher relationship becomes one of mutual support and learning about how best to care for your infant. These activities, along with a detailed account of your baby’s schedule, will be carefully documented for your review at the end of each day.

Toddler
12 - 30 Months

Toddlers are eager learners with lots of energy to learn about their surroundings. We encourage individual development and each child’s growing need for independence in a safe and nourishing place.

The toddler teachers write weekly lesson plans that engage learning in all areas. Our toddler classrooms offer learning centers focused on art, language, home living & dramatic play, blocks, music & movement, sensory & discovery, and manipulatives, as well as gross motor development in the activity centers or large motor room.

By playing in both small and large groups, toddlers learn the valuable social skills needed to effectively interact with others. To foster a sense of independence, our teachers positively encourage and assist toddlers while they practice and master self-help skills. While happily engaged, toddlers discover their likes and talents and develop a sense of how family, friends, and community fit into their lives. Through our center-based classrooms, the toddler experiences the early principles of math, science, and language.

We value the daily communication between teachers and parents during this period of rapidly emerging skills. Your toddler will eagerly greet you ready to share with you projects and accomplishments of the day. Our toddler curriculum serves as the foundation for learning during preschool years.
